 Auditions will be held to select members for the following groups:

Mini Company
** Mini Elite - New Level
Company in Training
Company in Training Elite
Advanced Company

Dancers Ages: 5 - 18 years accepted

 

Dancers who are accepted in the company will be placed into an appropriate competition group based upon their

technical level, performance level, commitment level and age
 

Guidelines for Parents:


**Parent(s) are encouraged to attend a pre-audition parent meeting to understand the company commitments
**Any parent that has a dancer trying out for the Advanced Company level, must register for a parent interview prior to the audition

 

**Participation in 2 weeks of Summer Camp is required for all company members of all levels.  Participation in all 3 weeks of camp is highly recommended as this is a tremendous opportunity to work with the most experienced and talented group of instructors you will find.  Dancers travel throughout the country for camps of this quality.


 Guidelines for Auditioning Dancers for Advanced Company

& All Company in Training Levels
 

** Age 7 by December 1st, 2010
 ** Open and positive attitude
** Strong commitment to train technically

** Desire to perform for an audience
** Interest in pursuing dance as a future career

** Ability to quickly master choreography

** Ability to apply technique to new choreography
** Clean skills including pirouettes, leaps, kicks, axles, and capezios
** Demonstration of flexibility

 

Guidelines for Auditioning Mini Company Dancers

 

** Age 5 by December 1st, 2010
 ** Open and positive attitude
 ** Strong commitment to train technically


 Audition Procedure 

The dancers will report at the time designated for the group level they are interested in. 

They will receive a number that they will need to keep until all results are posted.

The audition will include class and an evaluation of ballet and jazz combinations.

**You may audition for more than one group.  Consult the staff to determine if you will need to attend both sessions.

 

Selection will be based upon 
 ** Work ethic and effort level
 ** Demonstration of excellence in technique
 ** Demonstration of stage presence and performance
 ** Knowledge and execution of the audition choreography
 ** Demonstration of a positive attitude

** Positive Family Support and Attitude

 

 Post-Audition Procedure 
  Results will be emailed to all participants during the week of July 13th.  We will use the number that the dancers received during audition to communicate the results.  Individual names will not be posted.
Dress Attire:

 Katrinawear or other tight fitting dance clothing with jazz and/or ballet shoes
